Rich Eisen Show guest host Tom Pelissero weighs in on the start of the Bears’ training camp and rookie year expectations for No. 1 draft pick and former USC Trojan Caleb Williams.
When asked how quickly the Bears need to get up to speed in Waldron’s offense, wide receiver DJ Moore immediately told reporters, “Tomorrow.”
Kmet echoed the sentiment: “Yeah, now. It’s gotta happen quickly. We don’t have time to meander through this thing.”
That’s easier said than done, especially when the offense has only been implementing it for a couple of months now. Not to mention, they have a rookie quarterback in Caleb Williams, who is making the transition from college to the pros. Luckily, so far, Williams has been ahead of the curve. But things could change once the pads come on in camp.
“You can say he is ahead of things in OTAs,” Moore said. “But you gotta see how it looks on the field whether he will have those rookie curves.”
