The San Antonio Spurs are 3-2 on the season, and while they don’t have very high expectations for the year, the team has looked better than advertised. Victor Wembanyama, who the Spurs selected with the first pick in the 2023 NBA Draft, already looks like an absolute superstar.
Wembanyama and the Spurs are currently riding a two-game win streak, with both victories coming against Kevin Durant and the Phoenix Suns. In the first game, the Spurs stole a win at the very end of the fourth quarter, and in the second, they held on to win despite the Suns mounting a comeback.
