How are 14 recent Jets departures playing with their new teams?

Sam Darnold is one of the only recent Jets departures still starting. Let’s check in on some other former members of Gang Green.

Joe Douglas let a lot of long-time Jets go before the season, choosing not to re-sign them, trading them or cutting them.

Most of those players have found new homes this season, but only a few have actually played significant snaps. This is striking because almost all of the 14 players on this list were full-time starters for the Jets at some point over the past few seasons. Now many are just backups or special teams players. Sam Darnold, of course, is a noteworthy exception.

Considering how poorly most of the Jets’ castoffs have played, it stands to reason that Douglas made the right call moving on. Here, we’ll take a look at how some of New York’s most high-profile recent departures have fared this season.
