Alabama lost a decent amount of players to the transfer portal. Some saw meaningful playing time with the Crimson Tide while others didn’t.
The biggest transfers out of Alabama were outside linebacker Drew Sanders and tight end Jahleel Billingsley. Last season, Billingsley hauled in 17 receptions for 256 receiving yards and three touchdowns for Alabama. His role lessened from his freshman to sophomore season. However, some did see his transfer to Texas as somewhat of a surprise considering that he was technically a starter last season.
The other transfer mentioned was Drew Sanders. Last season, he recorded 24 tackles and one sack. He played a good bit at outside linebacker alongside current sophomore Dallas Turner. Despite him likely seeing extended playing time, he elected to transfer to Arkansas. Now, he starts at inside linebacker for the Razorbacks.
Today, Roll Tide Wire will take a look at how Alabama transfers performed at their new schools.
