Houston Texans general manager Nick Caserio went for the long ball.
The Texans traded with the Arizona Cardinals to take Alabama defensive end Will Anderson No. 3 overall in the 2023 NFL draft.
Houston gave up their No. 12 overall pick (Round 1), No. 33 overall pick (Round 2), No. 104 overall (Round 4) and a 2024 first-rounder and 2024 third-rounder. The Cardinals also sent back their No. 105 overall pick (Round 4).

Caserio talked about the possibilities of the team on April 17.
“I think in the end it’s about the players,” said Caserio. “This is a players’ league. It’s going to be about the players’ performance on Sunday, what they do with their opportunities. I think we’re excited about where we are as a team.”
The Texans drafted Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud No. 2 overall.
