Hotline Miami fans are going wild over a peculiar tweet from the official account

The speculation is running rampant.

Somehow, ten years have gone by since Hotline Miami came out. Wild, right? What’s more shocking is how enthusiasm for the ultra-violent shooter hasn’t done down one bit, going off of recent fan reactions.

On Thursday, the official Hotline Miami Twitter account posted a rather cryptic tweet that everyone is speculating over.

“But I know you. Look at my face,” Hotline Miami’s message reads. “We’ve met before… Haven’t we?”

Now, keep in mind that while this could be teasing an impending announcement of some kind, it could also be nothing at all. Until Dennaton Games explicitly comes out and clarifies, we have no real clue what the tweet is hinting at, if anything.

Naturally, fan imaginations are running wild. Mainly because the Hotline Miami Twitter account rarely tweets at all, leading many to believe it’s a tease of some kind. Before this, its last tweet was on Feb. 16, 2022, confirming the game is compatible with the Steam Deck. Let’s take a look at some of the reactions below.

There’s not been an entry in the series since Hotline Miami 2: Wrong Number, which came out in 2015. So it’s understandable why fans are practically frothing at the mouth for more. Whether this “tease” ends up being anything is another matter entirely, though.
