The Celtics started and finished strong on Wednesday, absorbed a run in-between from Charlotte and came away with a victory to avenge Sunday’s loss, 120-111.

Boston flew out to a huge lead, leading by 20 points to close the opening frame after Jaylen Brown’s 3-pointer to beat the buzzer put the hosts up 39-19 and gave him 20 points.

After playing even in the second period, Charlotte quickly trimmed the lead down to single digits in the third quarter. The margin barely crossed over into double digits again the rest of the way with the Hornets having multiple chances early in the fourth quarter to tie or take the lead.

However, the Celtics eventually rebounded and won going away in the final minutes.

Devonte’ Graham led Charlotte with 25 points, Miles Bridges and P.J. Washington each had 19 and Cody Zeller had 16 off the bench.
