Against a fledgling Rockets side, the Hornets closed out their road trip with a dominant display, winning 122-97.
Houston, who ended their 20-game losing streak on Monday, led for much of the first quarter and into the second period. However, the Hornets took the lead 33-31 on a Malik Monk 3-pointer and never looked back.
The lead continued to balloon and exploded in the third quarter behind big stretches from both Terry Rozier and Devonte’ Graham. Gordon Hayward needed only play six minutes in the second half as Charlotte’s lead touched 33 points on the night.
Rozier had 25 points to lead all scorers while Graham had 20. Monk added 19 off the bench and P.J. Washington added 12.
