It’s been a while, but as the saying goes, “to the victor, goes the spoils”. In college football terms, that means, if you win a big game, your players are going to be recognized. For the first time in two months, the Aggies did just that, winning a huge game over the #5 ranked, SEC West champion LSU Tigers, and on Monday, the awards came rolling in.
Unsurprisingly, Aggies running back Devon Achane, who dominated the game, running for 215 yards and 2 touchdowns was recognized as the SEC offensive player of the week, while senior safety Demani Richardson who recorded 8 tackles and recovered a fumble and returned it 27 yards for an key touchdown received SEC defensive player of the week.
Freshman quarterback Conner Weigman, completed 67% of his passes for 155 yards and 2 touchdowns, while rushing for 21 yards and taking 0 sacks, was honored as conference freshman of the week.
Let the honors roll in. 🏅
