Hogs get NCAA Tournament destination – headed to Clemson with No. 2 team in nation

The Arkansas men’s golf team will have quite the climb to make the NCAA Championships.

The Arkansas men’s golf team made the NCAA Tournament on Wednesday. Their goal is the NCAA Championships.

The Razorbacks, ranked No. 35 in the nation, were placed in Clemson’s regional for the tournament May 15-17. Clemson is the host, anyway. The top-ranked team in the regional is No. 2 North Carolina.

Joining the Tar Heels, Razorbacks and Tigers are Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, San Diego State, Georgia Southern, Arkansas, Purdue, New Mexico, Clemson, Furman, Middle Tennessee, Northern Illinois, Long Island and Longwood.

The top five finishers from each of the six NCAA regionals will go to the NCAA Championships, which will be held May 26-31in Arizona. Arkansas will be seeking its 20th appearance in the championships.
