Highlights from LeBron James’ big performance at the Drew League

LeBron James put on an entertaining show on Saturday at the Drew League in Los Angeles.

The Los Angeles Lakers’ LeBron James took a bit of time away from training and preparing for the upcoming NBA season to play in the Drew League on Saturday.

It was a big treat for fans, who are used to seeing NBA players participate in the Los Angeles-based pro-am league but rarely see superstars there.

The Drew League was founded in 1973, and in the following years, it became something of an institution within the Los Angeles basketball scene.

James had a wonderful performance on Saturday, scoring 42 points and grabbing 16 rebounds, and he made it look very easy, almost as if he didn’t break a sweat.

Interestingly, Kyrie Irving, whom the Lakers are reportedly trying to acquire, was scheduled to play in one of the early games, but he did not show up for that contest.

Irving and James, of course, played three seasons together on the Cleveland Cavaliers, reaching the NBA Finals in each of those seasons and winning the world championship in 2016.
