Florida baseball’s stint in the Southeastern Conference Tournament came to a quick end on Tuesday at the hands of the Vanderbilt Commodores, who dealt the Gators a 6-3 loss in Hoover, Alabama.
The Orange and Blue got a start from Pierce Coppola, who lasted 3 2/3 innings allowing four earned runs on as many hits and one walk. That was all that Vandy would need in this one, as Florida pushed a few runs across in the later innings but were unable to keep their SEC title hopes alive.
