Hey, SportsCenter, Texans WR Kenny Stills is taking Deshaun Watson to lead 90-yard TD drive

Houston Texans WR Kenny Stills replied on Twitter to SportsCenter that he is taking Deshaun Watson, who wasn’t an option, to lead a 90-yard TD drive.

ESPN’s “SportsCenter” posed a question on its Twitter account Friday morning: if you needed a 90-yard touchdown drive to win $5 million, which quarterback are you taking?

The account listed the Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ Tom Brady, the Baltimore Ravens’ Lamar Jackson, the Green Bay Packers’ Aaron Rodgers, and the Kansas City Chiefs’ Patrick Mahomes.

It makes sense as three of the four quarterbacks on the list are Super Bowl champions and renowned for their ability to mount successful comebacks.

Without even being prompted by anyone, Houston Texans receiver Kenny Stills entered the fray and replied with two characters.

“DW,” Stills tweeted.

Stills’ reply indicates the confidence that the eighth-year wideout has in his quarterback.

Of course, it’s not like Stills’ reply is without precedent. With 14:49 left in the game in Week 6 at Arrowhead Stadium, Watson led the Texans on a 93-yard drive that he capped off with a 1-yard touchdown run with 6:24 left on the clock. The two-time Pro Bowler also completed a two-point conversion pass to receiver DeAndre Hopkins to give Houston a 31-24 advantage over the Chiefs.

For Watson’s career, he has completed eight fourth quarter comebacks and orchestrated 10 game-winning drives. No matter what the circumstances, Watson instills a confidence in teammates and fans that Houston is never out of any ballgame.
