See why former UFC champ Joanna Jedrzejczyk warned Zhang Weili to not mess with Polish nation after incident at UFC 248 open workouts.

LAS VEGAS – [autotag]Joanna Jedrzejczyk[/autotag] was a little spicier than usual at Thursday’s UFC 248 media day.

The former titleholder had plenty to say to women’s strawweight champion [autotag]Zhang Weili[/autotag] during their faceoff in Las Vegas. Jedrzejczyk (16-3 MMA, 10-3 UFC) got in Zhang’s face as she usually does with her opponents, but then had plenty to say to the Chinese champion.

“What you have done yesterday to my fans, you never do that,” Jedrzejczyk said. “You don’t (expletive) with Polish nation. Why did you do that? I will outclass you on Saturday.”

Not many were surprised with Jedrzejczyk’s intensity and trash talk, but they some wondered why she was fired up more than normal and what she meant when warning Zhang (20-1 MMA, 4-0 UFC) about not messing with her fans.

It turns out Wednesday, Zhang gave the middle finger to Polish fans who were supporting Jedrzejczyk at a public open workout session.
