Caitlin Clark is one of one.
Records are meant to be broken, and Iowa’s Caitlin Clark has mastered that process. On Wednesday, she shot her way into the record books in the most Caitlin Clark way possible: doing something no person in Division I college basketball has ever done.
Clark is the only basketball athlete with at least 3,000 points, 750 rebounds and 750+ assists. She dropped a super casual 35 points in a win over Iowa State and now has 3,013 career points. (No big deal.)
She’s only 514 points shy of Washington alum Kelsey Plum for the all-time scoring record in women’s basketball. With 21 regular season games left, Clark would need to average just under 25 points per game to reach it before the Big Ten Tournament.
Incredible.
The moment.
