Yeah, Jalen Carter really did try that.
The Philadelphia Eagles defensive lineman went under a Kansas City Chiefs lineman’s legs to attempt an improbable, amazing, super-cool-if-he-can-do-it, internet-destroying interception of a Patrick Mahomes spike, which didn’t work even though IT LOOKED INCREDIBLE! Maybe he’ll try it again sometime?
But after the win over the Chiefs, Carter told reporters he had seen a high school player try it on YouTube and do it successfully, so here’s the video of that, along with a shot of the Falcons’ Grady Jarrett doing it (but the Jets were called for a false start, so … nope) back in 2017:
