Here’s some advice for Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins

What do you think Kirk Cousins needs to do for the Vikings to go further this year?

Vikings quarterback Kirk Cousins is coming off a successful 2019 campaign.

Cousins led his team to a 10-6 regular season record. Minnesota then defeated the Saints in the playoffs before falling to the 49ers.

The Vikings quarterback was good, but our friends at Touchdown Wire have some advice for him: “Step up.” That’s what Mark Schofield, who works for Touchdown Wire, said when giving advice to Cousins.

Here’s what else he wrote:

“One of the remaining questions around Cousins remains how he handles pressure: Both in the pocket and on the bigger stages. In the Divisional Round playoff game last year, the San Francisco 49ers pressured Cousins on 17 of the QB’s 35 dropbacks.”

It should be said that all the blame for the 49ers loss does not fall on Cousins. The run game struggled, the defense could not stop the run and the offensive play calling was questionable at times. That said, the team will need him to thrive in order to go deeper into the playoffs.
