Here’s how the NET rankings responded to Florida’s win over UGA

It’s not much, but every bit counts.

Florida basketball got back on the winning track Saturday afternoon with a win inside the O’Connell Center against its rivals the Georgia Bulldogs to seize its first win in Southeastern Conference play in three tries as well as snapping a three-game losing streak overall.

At first, it looked like the Gators were going to be run off their own home court by former head coach [autotag]Mike White[/autotag], but a standout effort over the last three-quarters of the game, as well as a strong finish (finally!), was enough to propel the Orange and Blue to an 82-75 victory.

Coming into the game, Florida was No. 72 in the NET rankings; after the triumph, the Gators inched up two spots to No. 70. They currently hold an 0-6 record against Quadrant 1 teams, 0-0 against Quad 2, 4-1 against Quad 3 and a perfect 4-0 against Quad 4.

Next up for UF are the LSU Tigers, who host Todd Golden’s gang in Baton Rouge on Tuesday, Jan. 10, with tipoff slated for 7 p.m. EST. The bayou boys are coming off a tough loss to the Texas A&M Aggies on Saturday and are currently No. 89 in the NET rankings.
