Here’s how Florida’s players fared at the 2022 Senior Bowl

Dameon Pierce was one of the standout players from the week in Mobile.

A pair of Florida players in Dameon Pierce and Zachary Carter represented their alma mater at the 2022 Senior Bowl in Mobile, Alabama, on Saturday afternoon. Both competed for the American team, which was coached by the Detroit Lions staff, in a 20-10 loss to the National team.

But while the team lost, it was an overall solid performance for both prospects, especially Pierce. Despite having a fantastic season when he was able to touch the ball, Pierce only saw double-digit carries twice. This game was a good opportunity for him to make a name for himself and he certainly did that.

He was one of the standouts in practice this week, and in the game, he finished with five carries for 16 yards and one catch for five yards.

Pierce’s three pit bulls also got a shoutout on the broadcast from NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.

Despite being Pro Football Focus’ highest-graded college running back in 2021, Pierce’s draft stock took a hit from his usage. He may have helped his stock quite a bit this week and he will hope to potentially sneak into the second day of the draft.

Carter, meanwhile, made a lesser impact with just one tackle, but he started the game at defensive end and played for the majority of snaps. Linebacker Jeremiah Moon, meanwhile, received a Senior Bowl invite but did not participate and was scratched from the roster during the week.

Both Carter and Pierce helped their stock by returning for their senior seasons, and they’ll hope their play in Mobile this week proves to be beneficial.
