Here’s a look at the broadcast team calling the Patriots’ season opener

Patriots fans should be pleased with who they’ll be hearing in Week 1.

CBS announced their broadcast team for the New England Patriots’ season opener against the Miami Dolphins on September 13.

The CBS group is as follows: Jim Nantz (play-by-play), Tony Romo (analysis) and Tracy Wolfson (sideline). With Cam Newton likely stepping in to replace Tom Brady, who signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers this offseason, it seems the Patriots have drawn the top broadcast team.

But it’s not all about the Patriots. Miami seems like a team that’s capable of creating drama in the AFC East in 2020. Coach Brian Flores, a disciple of Bill Belichick, managed to upset the Patriots in Week 17 of 2019, which capped off an impressive second half of the season for the Dolphins. This offseason, they’ve rebuilt in a hurry, with big free agent signings and three first-round draft selections.

It’s clear this game will be an exciting one. That’s why the top CBS team will cover it.
