Here are the Jags’ top performers from Week 3, per PFF

Here are the five best performers for Jacksonville in Week 3.

Jacksonville’s Week 3 loss was perhaps the most frustrating yet, as it seemed for a while that the team had a very real chance to win. It was leading at halftime, but mistakes in the second half proved to be costly as the Jaguars lost 31-19 and began the season 0-3.

Still, the Jags showed some signs of improvement, and several players had very solid performances despite the loss.

According to Pro Football Focus, Jacksonville’s highest-graded players in Week 3 were running back James Robinson (74.6), receiver Marvin Jones Jr. (72.9), safety Andrew Wingard (72.2), running back Carlos Hyde (71.4), and receiver D.J. Chark Jr. (69.3).

It’s interesting to note that despite the defense performing fairly well for most of the game, it only had one qualified player finish in the top five in Wingard, who intercepted Kyler Murray to give the Jags their first takeaway of the season.

It’s not a surprise to see Robinson at the top of the list, as he had his best game of the season totaling 88 yards on the ground and a score to go with 46 yards through the air on six catches. Meanwhile, Jones led the team in catches for the third-straight week, while Chark had a 49-yard day with a touchdown. Hyde was also solid as a change of pace back, totaling 44 yards on eight carries.

These grades still aren’t particularly high, with the best falling in the middle of the “above average” range, and the Jags will need stronger performances from their stars moving forward. But it is good to see some of Jacksonville’s crucial offensive skill-position players begin to make an impact.
