COLUMBIA — Sophomore linebacker Henry To’o To’o was a factor in Tennessee’s win at South Carolina Saturday.
To’o To’o intercepted South Carolina quarterback Collin Hill on the opening drive of the second quarter. It was his first career interception and touchdown.
Following Tennessee’s 31-27 over the Gamecocks, To’o To’o discussed how he felt the Vols’ defense played in its season-opening contest.
“I was pretty happy with the way we performed,” he said of UT’s overall defensive performance. “Of course we made a lot of mistakes, a lot of mental errors, a lot of technique stuff that we can clean up. It was a good performance for us. There’s a lot of areas we can clean up, and that’s definitely something we’ll focus on as we go throughout this week.”
