Henry Cavill would ‘love’ to be in the Mass Effect series if it’s done right

Geralt on the citadel.

Rumors of a Mass Effect  TV series have swirled about recently, and Henry Cavill is interested.

During a Witcher  Season 2 media tour, GamesRadar  asked Cavill if he had any interest in being part of the Mass Effect series.

“Very much so, yeah, all depending on how they’re executing it,” Cavill said. “The world of adaptation can be heavy or light. When I like a product, I prefer the adaptation to be less changed from the source, so it all depends. I think it’s found a home, hasn’t it? If [the series] finds a home, I would love to have a conversation.”

Cavill’s next big on-screen role is Geralt of Rivia in The Witcher  Season 2, which we thought was brilliant.

Surprisingly, Cavill is a huge fan of Bioware’s space-faring RPG and went into his history with the games.

“I did not play [Mass Effect: Andromeda] – I had a go at it, but ended up being very busy. But [The Mass Effect Trilogy]? Yeah. Loved it. Brilliant games,” Cavill explains. “It would make such a magnificent series of movies or TV shows.”

Getting video game adaptations right is always a challenge, especially something as dense as Mass EffectEven former Bioware writers are super keen on it.
