[autotag]Hendrick Motorsports[/autotag] has an excellent driver lineup with two NASCAR Cup Series champions, a young star, and a consistent winner every year. However, when it comes to a possible driver change, Alex Bowman is always the one mentioned, as the other three appear to have steady long-term plans. Could Bowman eventually be on the way out for another NASCAR driver?
In the latest update from Bob Pockrass’ 2025 NASCAR driver lineup predictions, he mentioned the possibility of Justin Haley being put more in line for a ride at Hendrick Motorsports. Haley previously stated his commitment to Rick Ware Racing but is viewed as the favorite to join Spire Motorsports, which has a close relationship with Hendrick Motorsports.
Pockrass said, “A strong performance at [Spire Motorsports] could put [Justin Haley] more in line for a [Hendrick Motorsports] (or other Chevrolet) ride.” Could Haley join Hendrick Motorsports in place of Bowman in a few years? If the driver of the No. 48 car struggles and Haley thrives at Spire Motorsports, this could be a realistic scenario come 2026 or 2027.
