[autotag]Hendrick Motorsports[/autotag] was supposed to be done with the NASCAR Xfinity Series during the 2023 season but that changed on Tuesday afternoon. The organization announced that it would expand its schedule for two extra races with Boris Said at the Charlotte ROVAL and Rajah Caruth at the season-finale in Phoenix, Arizona.
Said and Caruth will compete in the No. 17 car sponsored by HendrickCars.com. Due to NASCAR’s limitations on Cup Series drivers competing in the Xfinity Series during the playoffs, none of Hendrick Motorsports’ full-time drivers would be able to compete in any more races this season.

This will mark the first time that two non-Cup Series drivers will compete for Hendrick Motorsports in the Xfinity Series since its return in 2022. It will be interesting to see if this leads to any more opportunities for Said or Caruth going into the 2024 season. Also, the question about even more Hendrick Motorsports races in the Xfinity Series could be present for next year
