Miami Heat guard Tyler Herro has recorded two 20-point games so far during the season restart at the Wide World of Sports Complex and the rookie added to his recent scoring outburst on Wednesday.

Herro scored a career-high 30 points, just topping his previous high of 29, to lead the Heat in a 116-115 loss to the Oklahoma City Thunder. He shot 9-of-16 from the field, only making three 3-pointers, but went a perfect 9-of-9 from the free-throw line in 38 minutes off of the bench.

Though the game had little meaning for the Heat, since they have already clinched the fourth seed, Herro played aggressively throughout the contest and had his best game at Disney as a result. He became the first Heat rookie to score 30 points off of the bench, according to Stat Muse.

Herro struggled some during scrimmage play but he has found a groove as of late as the Heat have one game left to play before the start of the playoffs. Herro has played more as the primary ballhandler and has succeeded in that role so far.

The Heat will face the Indiana Pacers in the first round of the playoffs as Herro figures to play a vital role for the team. He has shown he can be trusted in big situations and will look to keep that going in the postseason.
