After missing 15 games this season due to an ankle injury, Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro said Friday on a conference call that he is fully recovered and ready to return to play this month.
Herro returned to play on March 11 with the Heat and logged just seven minutes in his first game back. Unfortunately, the season was then shut down due to the coronavirus pandemic and Herro was unable to fully integrate back into the lineup.
Heat head coach Erik Spoelstra said this week that it will be a process to work Herro back into the lineup because he believed the team had a good rotation prior to the shutdown. Fortunately, Herro is fully healthy and available to play again, via Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel.
Tyler Herro, on getting extra time to heal ankle after layoff, "I feel 100 percent. It definitely helped me just so I had more time to recover."

The eight seeding games prior to the postseason will be crucial for all teams to get back into game shape. For the Heat, getting Herro back into game speed will be key and to reconfigure the rotation ahead of the start of the playoffs.
The Heat return to action on Aug. 1 vs. the Denver Nuggets.
