With the NBA gaining traction on resuming the 2019-20 season, players around the league are becoming anxious to get back out onto the hardwood and play basketball again.
The NBA is reportedly targeting July 31 to resume play as the Board of Governors on Friday discussed its options on what a return would look like, according to Shams Charania of The Athletic. The league office is in the process of determining how to resume the season but a return appears to be imminent in some capacity at Disney World in Orlando, Florida.
As the NBA season appears to be returning, Miami Heat rookie Tyler Herro took to Twitter on Friday night to let everyone know he is ready to begin playing again.

The NBA is considering expanding the playoff format to 20 or 22 teams and utilize a World Cup-style format in place of the traditional playoff setting by placing several teams into groups. The top teams from those groups would advance to the next round, an idea that is gaining traction.
NBA commissioner Adam Silver has looked in the past to try innovative ways to implement change and this year appears to be his first opportunity to test a new playoff format.
One thing is certain, though: Players are ready to get back to work.
