Miami Heat rookie Kendrick Nunn has reportedly departed the team at the Wide World of Sports Complex due to personal reasons, according to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald.

The departure by Nunn is not related to the coronavirus as the Heat have officially classified his absence due to personal reasons. The Heat expect Nunn to eventually re-join the team, potentially in time before the playoffs begin on Aug. 16-17.

Nunn will have access to daily COVID-19 testing while he is away from the team and would likely only have to quarantine for four days upon returning to Disney, though the NBA will make an official determination on the length when he returns.

Nunn initially did not travel to Disney with the Heat and joined the team at a later date after testing positive for the coronavirus. The team has maintained that Nunn leaving the bubble is unrelated to COVID-19 and is strictly due to personal reasons.

Since beginning the season restart, Nunn is averaging 7.8 points, 2.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists in four games played. He has struggled with his shot since arriving at Disney, converting on 32.4% of his shots from the field and 25% (5-of-20) from 3-point range.

The Heat play next on Saturday vs. the Phoenix Suns.
