Sean McVay may not be completely satisfied with the way his team played in Sunday’s win over the Lions, but he’s still proud of the way they continued to battle despite Detroit’s best efforts. The Rams escaped with a 28-19 win at home, a score that was closer than anticipated, and McVay was fired up in the locker room afterwards.
He gave a passionate speech to his players, applauding their effort and resiliency
“You find out a lot about people and teams when you guys go through a little adversity. We had a lot of that early on. Nobody flinched, nobody blinked. Give it up for yourselves,” he said.
It was part of his full locker room breakdown, which included game balls being handed out to Matt Gay, Jalen Ramsey and Matthew Stafford for their contributions to the win.
"Nobody flinched, nobody flaked. Give it up for yourselves for that!"
