After dropping their second game in a row in their Eastern Conference Finals with the Miami Heat, the Boston Celtics needed some good news, and got it in their injury report Friday afternoon.
It wasn’t all good news, though — rookie shooting guard Romeo Langford is now on it after sustaining a right adductor strain in an incredibly brief appearance in Game 2 — but rookie wing Javonte Green has been upgraded to “Probable” on the Celtics latest injury report.
And even more importantly, the veteran forward has now been upgraded to “Questionable” after a late downgrade to “Out” for Game 2 on Thursday.

Hayward had expressed hope for a Game 3 return, so this is especially positive news for those hoping to see the Butler product’s services applied to helping bust the Heat’s frustrating zone defense.
Boston has struggled against Miami’s lengthy zone without Hayward, who has not played for more than four weeks after a Grade III ankle sprain sustained early in the first round of the playoffs.
