If it seems as though Cam Reddish is slowly improving, it is because he is.
Reddish has shown gradual improvement throughout his rookie campaign with the Atlanta Hawks. He is beginning to look noticeably more comfortable each time he takes the court and that is beginning to translate on the stat sheet.
As noted by Kevin Chouinard of Hawks.com, Reddish has improved his 2-point field-goal percentage in each month. The 10th overall pick is currently shooting 51.7% on 2-point shot attempts in five games during the month of February.
The full breakdown to this point of the season with the Hawks:
Cam Reddish's two-point field-goal percentage by month:
Oct: 32.0
Nov: 35.1
Dec: 40.0
Jan: 41.9
Feb: 51.7— Kevin Chouinard (@KLChouinard) February 24, 2020
To take a deeper look at his improvement, Reddish has increased his production across the board each month, including scoring, field goals made and 3-point shots, via Basketball-Reference.
In addition to his offensive improvement, Reddish appears to be turning the corner defensively, as well. He has come up with a few clutch defensive plays recently, including a timely steal late to seal a victory over the Miami Heat last week.
The Hawks are currently in the midst of a rebuild but project to be on an upward trajectory building around the likes of Trae Young, Reddish, De’Andre Hunter and John Collins among others. Certainly, the improvement of Reddish has been encouraging for the franchise.
