Harrison Ingram has been a big bright spot for the North Carolina Tar Heels this season, transferring after spending two seasons at Stanford. With Ingram committed to North Carolina, he will get his first taste of the rivalry against Duke on Saturday night on the court.
But it sounds like he’s already faced a little trash talk from a Duke athlete — his sister.
Ingram’s sister, Lauren, is a freshman on the Duke volleyball team as the two are now rivals in the family. After North Carolina lost to Georgia Tech for their first loss in the ACC and first loss in 44 days, Ingram revealed that Lauren talked some trash ahead of the Duke matchup.
But he also revealed that while she will be in attendance for Saturday’s game, she will be sporting Carolina Blue.
Harrison Ingram says the trash talk with his sister, who plays volleyball at Duke, began last week, but really picked up yesterday.
"She was making fun of me for losing our first game in a while … She'll be in here, but she'll be wearing a Carolina shirt." https://t.co/VMFRSc50ga

In the end, the family ties always win over the rivalry and it will be nice to see Lauren supporting her brother on the court as he looks to deliver a big win for the Tar Heels.
And if he does, he can have the trash-talking rights at least for another month before the two teams meet again in early March.
