New Tar Heel [autotag]Harrison Ingram[/autotag] announced he is rocking No. 55 for his debut season in Carolina Blue.
Ingram took to social media Thursday night, teasing No. 55, last worn by UNC transfer graduate Christian Keeling in 2020. Ingram transferred to UNC in April after playing his first two seasons in the Pac-12 for Stanford.
The forward started 62 of 65 games for Stanford, averaging 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, and 3.4 assists. Rocking the same No. 55 at Stanford, Ingram earned Pac-12 All-Freshman and 2021-22 Pac-12 rookie of the year honors.
Ingram’s best game came against USC in 2022; he finished with 21 points and 10 rebounds, largely thanks to his 3-point shooting.

Ingram is the perfect addition to UNC’s roster and should find a role in Hubert Davis’s rotation. The experience, plus his ability to drive the lane and get either a point or a foul, is exactly the style has Davis preached. His 6-foot-7 height and ability to stretch the floor is a bonus.
