The San Antonio Spurs selected Harrison Ingram with the 48th pick in the 2024 NBA Draft. Ingram, 21, spent last season with the University of North Carolina, averaging 12.2 points, 8.8 rebounds, 2.2 assists per game. He also recorded 1.4 steals per night. Ingram projects to be a developmental wing prospect who fits the Gregg Popovich mold.
Ingram previously spent two seasons with Stanford, averaging 10.5 points, 6.2 rebounds, 3.4 assists. He was named Pac-12 Freshman of the Year. During his collegiate career, Ingram has shown a versatile skillset that could be translatable at the NBA level. However, he will likely spend next season on a two-way contract as he continues to improve his game.
On Saturday (June 29), Ingram met the Spurs media for the first time as he attended his first news conference as an NBA player.
