Harold Hacker commits to Tennessee

Harold Hacker, Lineman of the Year in Ohio, commits to Tennessee.

Tennessee rugby announced the commitment of Harold Hacker on Monday.

The 6-foot-1, 200-pound Hacker is from Columbus Academy in Gahanna, Ohio. He also plays for Dublin Rugby Club.

Hacker played middle linebacker and defensive tackle in football at Columbus Academy. He earned MSL Linemen of the Year honors, recording 63 tackles in 2022.

Tennessee won its third consecutive SCRC championship in 2022, defeating South Carolina, 27-22.

The 2022 campaign was the first for Tennessee under head coach Scott Tungay.

Tennessee won the 2021 national championship under head coach Marty Bradley. Bradley served as the Vols’ rugby head coach from 2011-21 and as Tennessee’s assistant coach from 1996-2010 under head coach Butch Robertson.
