Handing out grades for the Texas Longhorns after Saturday’s 38-point win

The virtual report card for the Texas Longhorns after defeating Kansas State 69-31 on Saturday. The freshman stood out in a big way.

The Texas Longhorns came out against the Kansas State Wildcats fast and loose. Their up-tempo offense kept the defense on balance and they were able to take advantage of a team on a four-game losing streak. They would extend that to five and win their fourth game out of the last five.

While there was a week’s worth of distractions with the constant discussions about their embattled head coach Tom Herman and Urban Meyer, didn’t seem to matter to the team. Sam Ehlinger was efficient and the running game ran wild to the tune of 334 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground.
