Halftime Report: Clemson leads Duke 7-6 in a tight one

Clemson is in a close one as the Tigers lead the Blue Devils 7-6 at the half.

Dabo Swinney and the Clemson football program are off to a slow start in their 2023 opener as they lead Mike Elko and Duke 7-6 at halftime.

Duke got the game’s first points on a 22-yard field goal on their first possession. They extended their lead to 6-0 after a 42-yard field goal to start the second quarter.

The Tigers took advantage of a muffed punt, landing them on the Duke 19-yard line. After a few plays, starting quarterback Cade Klubnik found star running back Will Shipley on an easy 2-yard touchdown pass.

It was not the first half Tigers’ fans were hoping for; the play calling from new offensive coordinator Garrett Riley hasn’t looked like we expected. The Tigers will look to bounce back with a strong second half.
