The Baltimore Ravens recently signed running back Gus Edwards to a two-year, $10 million extension. The fourth-year player deserved a big payday, and he’s already putting his new money to good use for the benefit of his family.
Edwards posted a video on Instagram of a house that he had bought for his parents, walking around and showing some of it off.

Edwards has spoken about how his parents immigrated from Liberia when he was a child, crediting his family for a lot of his successes. The Ravens put together a story called “Gus Edwards: The American Dream”, which details Edwards’ journey to America as well as what it was like for the running back and his family to grow up in a war-torn country, as well as what it was like once they had all made it to the United States.
The former Rutgers University star has an inspiring story that can teach lessons to many. He and his family worked extremely hard to get to this point, and Edwards should continue to grow both on and off of the football field, with the full support of his family right there with him.
