The Grizzlies and Lakers are meeting for the third time this season on Friday, and while the defending champions have a 2-0 edge, the Lakers are 1-1 against the spread against the Grizzlies. In a two-game series in Memphis in January, the Lakers won the first game by 14, 108-94, but escaped with a 94-92 win in the rematch.

Advice and prediction
The good news for the Lakers is that Alex Caruso is probable to play, but Anthony Davis’ status is up in the air. Davis is listed as questionable with Achilles tendinosis, and has missed the last two games. It took the heroics of LeBron James for the Lakers two sweep a tight two-game series against the Thunder with Davis and Caruso out, and while LA is on a six-game winning streak, the Lakers have not covered the spread in their last three games.
Still, I’m taking Lakers -6.5 on Friday. The Grizzlies have lost four of five and are 1-4 ATS over that span, and I don’t think it’s likely that the Lakers continue to shoot under 30 percent from three, as they have done in back-to-back games.
Prediction: Lakers 113, Grizzlies 101
