Griffin’s desire to get out of that cycle and put a new standard in place is why he believes now was the right time. “The wins and losses have very little to do with this in the immediacy,” Griffin said in a teleconference on Saturday. “This is really about the process. This is about a shared vision of how we’re going to move forward and what this looks like as we build. … The wins and losses certainly are revealing of our process. It’s the process we want to attack here, not just the immediacy of our disappointment in the results.”
