Greedy Williams questionable to return, groin injury

After missing all of 2020, another injury may have knocked the Browns defender out of the second preseason game.

The Cleveland Browns and New York Giants are facing off for both teams’ second preseason game. Both teams decided to keep most of their starters out for the game primarily to keep their most important guys healthy.

The Browns have struggled to keep many of their players on the field with a lot of minor injuries. It is concerning that players continue to go down with injuries, even if minor.

Greedy Williams, returning from a neck/shoulder issue that caused him to miss all of the 2020 season, is fighting for a starting role on Cleveland’s defense. Williams is competing with rookie Greg Newsome II to start across from Denzel Ward in nickel packages.

Unfortunately, the former LSU cornerback is questionable to return to today’s game due to a groin injury:
