The full court press for promoting Elimination Chamber next month in Perth has begun, which means that WWE superstars are doing the local media rounds. Grayson Waller, an Australia native, and LA Knight were among those participating this week, appearing together on an Australian TV show.
It was the kind of appearance that can help convince the masses who aren’t watching WWE regularly to attend a big event, but dealing with media who don’t fully understand the wrestling business can also lead to some awkward moments.
As you can see below, that definitely applies to what Waller and Knight experienced on the popular morning show Sunrise. First, one of the hosts asks Knight if he can show off one of his finishers, and he does his best to deflect the questions by suggesting “it’s not gonna be a good day for anybody.”
The host then offers up a potential victim in the form of the floor manager, who is apparently leaving the show soon. Knight responds, “That’s not for me, you want to go ahead and take this one?”
The floor manager says something to Waller, who is incredulous:
“I don’t think you understand, like, if I come over there right now, we’re going to have the police here. Because I’m not going to give you some fake punch, I’m gonna punch you straight in the jaw. The actual disrespect that you have even talking to me. Now you want to talk to me like this ain’t real?”
Bonus points for Knight’s bemused reaction when the guy first comes out and his incredible “I wish I was anywhere but here right now” expression at the end of it all.

Waller is someone who absolutely gets it, but you can’t help but feel there’s some genuine feeling in his response. In any case, the show got a viral moment, even if it might not have quite been the way they’d want, and people are certainly talking about the upcoming show in Australia. So mission accomplished, but here’s hoping no other WWE talent has to threaten to punch anyone over the next month.
