Boston Celtics rookie Grant Williams was diagnosed with a sore left shoulder on Monday night against the Chicago Bulls, according to Jared Weiss of The Athletic.
Williams suffered the injury in the second quarter defending Bulls guard Tomas Satoransky. Williams immediately began to favor his shoulder after the play and tried to play through it but eventually left to retreat back to the locker room.
The Celtics announced that Williams would be available to return to play.
Prior to suffering the injury, Williams had four points, three rebounds, one assist and one block in eight minutes of work as the Celtics built a 55-37 lead at halftime.
