Story recapping Grant Williams’ performance against Toronto in Game 2 against Raptors in NBA Playoffs

ORLANDO — The Boston Celtics have won six consecutive games in the 2020 NBA Eastern Conference playoffs.

The Celtics, the No. 3 seed in the East, improved to 6-0 in the postseason with a 102-99 win over the second-seeded Toronto Raptors Tuesday night at HP Field House in the Central Florida bubble.

Boston received a contribution from former University of Tennessee basketball player Grant Williams.

Williams scored two points, pulled down four rebounds and dished out two assists, while playing 19 minutes to help the Celtics take a 2-0 lead in the best-of-7 Eastern Conference semifinals against the defending NBA champions.

Williams, a power forward, was a first round pick, going with the No. 22 overall selection, in the 2019 NBA draft.

He played for the Volunteers for three seasons, leaving after his junior campaign in 2019 as the two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year.

Boston swept its first-round series against the No. 6 Philadelphia 76ers, a team that features former Vols Tobias Harris and Josh Richardson.
