ORLANDO — Grant Williams, a first-round draft pick in 2019 by the Boston Celtics, continued to play sparingly for the team Wednesday night.
But one day after playing just three minutes and failing to make it onto the stat sheet in Boston’s 112-106 loss to Miami on Tuesday, Williams had his most productive outing since the NBA restarted its season this summer.
The power forward and two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year for the Tennessee Volunteers, scored three points, pulled down a rebound and had an assist in Boston’s 149-115 victory over the Brooklyn Nets at Orlando’s ESPN Wide World of Sports Arena.
Williams was a first-round selection by the Celtics in the 2019 NBA draft, going with the 22nd overall pick.
