Grant Williams and the Celtics advance in the NBA playoffs.

Former University of Tennessee basketball player Grant Williams and Boston advanced in the NBA playoffs Sunday.

Williams made his fourth consecutive postseason start and scored a game-high 27 points. The second-seeded Celtics advanced with a 109-81 victory over defending NBA champion Milwaukee at TD Garden in Boston.

The Celtics won game No. 7 of the Eastern Conference semifinals and will play Miami in the conference finals.

Williams, a two-time Southeastern Conference Player of the Year for the Volunteers, also had six rebounds and two blocks in the series finale against the Bucks.

He was 10-for-22 from the field and 7-for-18 from beyond the 3-point arc in 39 minutes.

Game No. 1 of the Eastern Conference finals will begin Tuesday.

Tipoff is slated for 8:38 p.m. EDT at FTX Arena in Miami. The game will be televised by ESPN.
