The Miami Dolphins are moving quickly to figure out a better diagnosis for receiver Grant DuBose.
DuBose, who was called up from the practice squad Saturday morning, appeared to suffer a serious head and/or neck injury Sunday in a brutal helmet-to-helmet collision with Houston Texans rookie safety Calen Bullock.

DuBose lay motionless on the turf for several minutes and immediately needed medical attention. Multiple medical professionals eventually cut his jersey off and unscrewed his facemask.
The receiver was placed on a board and carted off the field with what appeared to be an IV and/or an EKG machine.
DuBose also had a neckbrace on to stabilize his head.
Here’s the latest surrounding DuBose’s status following the hit.
Grant DuBose injury update
DuBose was ruled out with a head injury and was taken to a local hospital for further evaluation. The Dolphins released a statement on X, formerly known as Twitter, stating he was in stable condition.

Dolphins WR depth chart
A former starter at Charlotte, DuBose was claimed off waivers by the Dolphins at the end of August. He appeared in two games early in the season before a shoulder injury sent him to injured reserve.
Following Miami’s decision to release All-Pro receiver Odell Beckham Jr., DuBose was activated and caught one pass Sunday before leaving in the third quarter.
The Dolphins also have Tyreek Hill, Jaylen Waddle, Malik Washington, and River Cracraft to see reps at wide receiver.
Waddle suffered a knee injury earlier Sunday.
Texans schedule
With a win in Sunday’s contest, the Texans (8-5) would need an Indianapolis Colts loss against the Denver Broncos to clinch the AFC South for a second consecutive season.
