Detroit Lions head coach Dan Campbell had some positive injury news on a very important Lions player on Tuesday. In his weekly guest appearance on the team’s flagship radio station, Campbell deemed it a good chance that Amon-Ra St. Brown will return for the Week 6 matchup in Tampa against the Buccaneers.
St. Brown missed the Week 5 win over the Carolina Panthers with an abdominal injury. He had previously been dealing with a toe issue as well.
“I feel pretty good about the possibility of him playing this week,” Campbell said via 97.1 the Ticket in Detroit. “It’s certainly more than questionable, closer to probable. We’ll see how this week goes.”
The Lions didn’t need him against winless Carolina. St. Brown’s presence is far more important against the 3-1 Buccaneers, who are coming off a bye week.
Detroit is off on Tuesday, with the first practice injury report coming after Wednesday’s practice. The final injury designations will come out Friday afternoon.
