Good, Bad and Ugly: Gators Wire’s quick takes on devastating Arkansas loss

The Gators Wire staff gives its post mortem for what seemed like the last winnable game on Florida’s 2023 schedule.

It was an ugly affair in the Swamp during college football’s Week 10 action as the Florida Gators fell in overtime to the Arkansas Razorbacks, 39-36, putting the Orange and Blue’s bowl eligibility in dire straights with just three games left on the schedule.

Billy Napier’s gang fell behind early and spent the entire game either fighting to take the lead or fending off the Hogs from their minor margin on the scoreboard. Ultimately, KJ Jefferson and Co. were too much for the Gators who were wearing all-black uniforms for the first time in program history.

And speaking of history, Sam Pittman’s win is the first ever for Arkansas inside Ben Hill Griffin Stadium.

Following the devastating defeat, the Gators Wire staff assembled to provide their instant takes on the Saturday afternoon defeat. Take a look below at what each of us had to offer, respectively.
